Date: Saturday June 19th
Time: 8:00 am – 9:30 am
Please join us for the inaugural Green Days Garden Walk at the Green Meadows West Prairie. The Green Meadows West Prairie is a reconstructed Oak Savanna prairie, which is like the prairie present during the life of Laura Ingalls Wilder when she lived in Decorah, Iowa.
Visitors can walk the bike trail from the parking areas. Along the way you will be greeted with many blooming perennial flowers such as butterfly milkweed, coneflower, penstemon, baptisia, spiderwort, and many more. You will also find four information boxes that will tell you interesting information about the prairie, with one featuring a children’s activity.
Parking is available at the First Baptist Church, 8250 NW 62nd Avenue. Limited parking is available at the Green Meadows West HOA Park, located at the intersection of King’s Row and Windsor Parkway. Signs will direct you from the parking lot to the bike trail.
