Green Days is a community festival which includes a wide variety of activities sponsored by community organizations, chamber members and volunteers. Each year a number of volunteers and organizations help make Green Days a success by organizing activities that occur throughout the weekend.   Review the list of activities below to make sure you don’t miss out! Public Safety Expo
Saturday, June 19th – 11:30 pm – 1:30 pm

Join the Johnston Police Department and Johnston Fire Department for a public safety expo. Police and Fire vehicles will be on site for kids to explore.

Smokin’ Heroes Meat Smoking Competition
Saturday June 19th 1:00 pm – 4:00pm

To continue building upon the sister city relationship with Kosovo and providing Johnston youth the opportunity to attend the Toka International Camp in 2022, the Johnston Police Department has partnered with the Johnston Rotary to help make this opportunity possible. They will be hosting the Annual Smokin’ Heroes Smoke-off event on Saturday, June 19, during Johnston Green Days. The event is open to the public to sample the delicious smoked meats and side dishes and will run from 1:00pm to 4:00 p.m. with a free will offering. Votes will be tabulated and the winner will be announced around 4:30.
